Allendale - Fairfax Middle School

Middle School Parents, I have a few updates to share with you as we head into the weekend. Next week starts our first 5-day learning week for in-person students. Students who attend school in person will now report to school on Fridays. On campus benchmark testing will occur on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week (March 30-31). Any virtual students planning to attend testing on campus next week, must complete the survey shared by his/her teacher. Check your Microsoft Teams for the survey. Students will remain at school all-day on testing days. Thursday, April 1st AFMS will host a Virtual Curriculum Night. We invite all students and parents to attend. AFMS will transition to 100% Virtual Instruction 2/19/21 - 3/5/21. See the attached virtual school schedule. Please make sure students charge their device each night and are on time for each class daily. Students should spend 30 minutes each day on i-Ready for homework. Middle School Parents, It's that time again! i-Ready testing will begin Tuesday February 9th by grade level. See the schedule below. (Tues.) Feb. 9th - 6th Grade ONLY (Wed.) Feb. 10th - 7th Grade ONLY (Thurs.) Feb. 11th - 8th Grade ONLY **Teachers will not be online for live instruction on testing days. Students will have learn from home assignments to complete on their non-testing days** Student may dress down on testing days ($1 for non-uniform shirts plus $1 for non-uniform bottoms). Allendale-Fairfax Middle School Celebrates National School Counseling Week! @acsrising

The Allendale-Fairfax Track Team are looking for students in grades 7-8 interested in running, throwing, and/or jumping. Practice will start February 1, 2021 at 3:50 pm - 6:30 pm. Rides must pick up students promptly at 6:30 pm. On a daily basis, students will need a sweat suit (bottom and top), running shoes, shorts, and water bottle. Must have a physical! Middle School Parents: Benchmark testing ends today, Wednesday, January 27, 2021. All regular in-person students will report back to school Thursday, January 28, 2021. The next round of testing will be February 9-11 for i-Ready. Students will report to campus by grade level beginning with 6th grade. We have enjoyed having our students on campus during this time. Middle School Parents: This is a reminder that on tomorrow, Tuesday, December 15th ONLY 6th grade students will report to campus for testing. Each student should bring their iPad fully charged, their charger, a mask, and a bottle of water. Students may dress down ($1 for tops + $1 for bottoms = $2). Fundraising supports the student activities at AFMS. Breakfast is from 8:00 - 8:30 and early release is from 2:00 - 2:45.
