Allendale Fairfax Middle School

School Counselor

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! The Allendale-Fairfax Middle School Counseling Department has one full- time School Counselor. The counselor is available to help your child with personal and social development as well as academic advisement and development.

The counseling office truly is the heart of any school, and it is no exception here at Allendale-Fairfax Middle School. I am here to help your child have the best middle school experience possible. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns you may have for your child. I may be reached through email or by phone, and you are certainly welcome to stop by when you are on campus. I will be glad to assist you or to set up an appointment.

Students come first in the counseling office. Students are welcome to send an email to request an appointment or to come to the office in person to set up a time to be seen. Students are typically not pulled from academic courses, but I will see students at any time there is an emergency. It is best if students obtain a pass from their teacher to come to see the School Counselor; a pass is verification that the teacher knows where the student is.

The counseling department looks forward to assisting you this school year. I am here to help!

College and Career Readiness

In order to produce a well-rounded student,  broad categories of occupations are identified as career clusters. These sixteen career clusters correlate what students are learning in school with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in further educational advancements or within the workplace. Each career cluster identifies different pathways from secondary school to two- and four-year colleges, graduate school, and the workplace.
